In recent news, aluminum water bottle makers Sigg and Laken have publicly acknowledged that water bottles made and sold by their companies prior to August 2008 were lined with an epoxy resin containing Bisphenol-A (BPA.)
In scientific studies, BPA is often linked to health issues such as heart disease, cancers, infertility, obesity, and diabetes.
